WooCommerce Integration

Connect your WooCommerce store to Frevana to explore products, orders, customers, coupons, and inventory. We'll walk you through creating the credentials and checking the connection.

What You Need

Before you start, make sure you have:

  1. A WordPress site with WooCommerce installed.
  2. Administrator access to the WordPress admin dashboard.
  3. Permission to create WooCommerce REST API keys.

Step 1: Open WooCommerce REST API Settings

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Then go to:
WooCommerce -> Settings -> Advanced -> REST API
warning

Do not use the regular WordPress Settings page, go to Settings in WooCommerce.

If you cannot find the menu, open this URL directly:

https://your-store.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=advanced&section=keys

Replace your-store.com with your store domain.

Step 2: Create a REST API Key

  1. Click Add key
  2. Fill in the form:
FieldWhat to enter
Descriptione.g. Frevana WooCommerce agent team.
UserSelect an administrator user
PermissionsRead for reporting, or Read/Write if you need supported changes
  1. Then click Generate API key

Step 3: Copy the Credentials

WooCommerce will show two values:

Consumer key
Consumer secret

Copy both values immediately.

WooCommerce usually only shows the full Consumer secret once. If you leave the page without copying it, you may need to delete the key and create a new one.

Step 4: Send the Connection Details

Send Frevana these three values:

store_url: https://your-store.com
consumer_key: ck_...
consumer_secret: cs_...

Use your main store URL for store_url. For example:

https://example.com

Do not include /wp-admin or /wp-json in the store URL.

Step 5: Verify the Connection

After you send the credentials, Frevana will verify the connection by calling the WooCommerce REST API.

If the connection works, Frevana can help with:

  • Listing products
  • Checking inventory and out-of-stock products
  • Reading recent orders
  • Summarizing revenue
  • Looking up customers
  • Creating discount codes after confirmation
  • Detecting processing orders that are missing shipping addresses

Permissions

Use Read/Write if you want Frevana to create coupons, update products, or fix order shipping addresses.

Use Read only if you want analysis and reporting without any write actions.

Frevana previews write actions before applying them. A write action only runs after you explicitly confirm it.

Troubleshooting

I do not see REST API under Advanced

Make sure you are inside:

WooCommerce -> Settings -> Advanced

not:

WordPress Settings

You can also open the page directly:

https://your-store.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=advanced&section=keys

The key does not work

Check that:

  • The store URL is correct.
  • The key starts with ck_.
  • The secret starts with cs_.
  • The key has the permissions needed for the action (Read for reporting or Read/Write for changes).
  • The selected user is an administrator.
  • WooCommerce is installed and active.

I lost the Consumer Secret

Create a new API key. WooCommerce usually does not show the full secret again after you leave the key creation page.

My store is not HTTPS

Production stores should use HTTPS.

Local test stores may use HTTP, but HTTPS is recommended for real stores.
