Google Analytics
Connect Google Analytics to Frevana to explore traffic, top pages, real-time activity, and audience reports through conversation.
Before you begin
Complete Google Connect setup and connect a Google account with access to the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property you want to explore.
Enable the Analytics APIs
Your Agent team may open these pages for you. If not, select your Google Cloud project and enable both APIs:
Find your property
Not sure which property to use? Ask your Agent team:
List my GA4 accounts
Choose the property you want to explore from the accounts and Property IDs available to your connected Google account.
What you can do
| Area | Examples |
|---|---|
| Traffic overview | Review users, sessions, and page views for a date range. |
| Top pages | Find pages with the most views or engagement. |
| Traffic sources | Explore where visitors come from. |
| Real-time | Check current site activity. |
| Audience | Review available device, location, and demographic data. |
| Summaries | Request a weekly or monthly overview. |
Try asking
- “How much traffic did my site get this week?”
- “What are my most visited pages?”
- “Where is my traffic coming from?”
- “How many people are on my site right now?”
- “Compare this month’s traffic to last month.”
- “How is my /blog page performing?”
- “Give me a weekly traffic summary.”
Troubleshooting
“API not enabled”
Check that both the Analytics Data API and the Analytics Admin API are enabled in the project used for Google Connect.
“Property not found”
Ask “List my GA4 accounts” to check which properties your connected account can access. Make sure you’re using a GA4 property rather than a legacy Universal Analytics property.
“Permission denied”
Confirm that your Google account has at least Viewer access to the property. If needed, ask a property administrator to grant access under Admin > Property Access Management.
Standard Analytics reports can take time to process. Use real-time reports for recent activity, and allow time for other reports to update.
